Japan Rail and Subway System

Through my experiances traveling in Tokyo, their railway and subway system are the best in the world. The effeciency and schedulling is really amazing. The rail has many coachs, at least 10 and some time 15 during peak hour. The interval between train is about two minute and always on time. The Japenese is very descpline people and queing is the order of the day. From geting ticket from the machine, entering the ticket gates and boarding the train, all in orderly manner.

Spring In Tokyo

We went to Japan for a 9 days trip (12 March to 19 March) in spring 2010. We arrived there a bit early for Cherry Blossom season in Tokyo. We managed to see early spring, some of the cherry and plum has started flowering. The view was not as spectuclar, but enough for me to experianced cherry blossom in Japan.

Japan Tour 2010

We made our trip to Japan on 12 March 2010 to 19 March 2010.

Six of us took Cathay Pacific flight to Tokyo with stopover in Hong Kong, leaving KLIA at 9.30am and arrived in Narita at about 7.30pm.

Checked in at Sakura Hotel, Ikekuburo for a triple room at the rate of 12,000yen per night.

For the first two day on 13 and 14, we spent time touring Tokyo area including Shinjuku, Ueno Market and Park, Imperial Palace, Yoyogi Park and Tokyo Tower.

On the 15 and 16 we took Shenkenzen (Builet) Train to Kyoto for one night stay.

We went on one day tour to Mount Fuji and Hakone by bus on the 17 March and visiting Shinjuku Garden in the morning of 18 march and finishing our Tokyo tour in the evening by taking Tokyo Bay ferry tour.







Tokyo is expensive city but the tour was very intersting and enjoyable one for us.
